Pinnacle Charter Schools provides customized education services for grades 6–12+ special education students facing learning, language, and social-emotional challenges that impede their progress in the traditional classroom. We provide flexible programming and multiple services at our Tempe West location.
Pinnacle Charter Schools aims to systematically and holistically educate students with rigorous learning. For all student populations we serve, Pinnacle’s ultimate goal is to produce positive outcomes that promote scholastic and social growth, enhanced self-esteem, and help them to develop opportunities after they graduate from high school.
Child find is a component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA ’04) that requires PEAs to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities, aged birth through 21, located within their geographical boundaries who are in need of early intervention or special education services.
Child find applies to children who are:
Suspected of having a disability even though they are advancing from grade to grade
Highly mobile, such as migrant and homeless
Wards of the state
Private school students
Home school students
